TL;DR — 30 SECOND ANSWER
Max moves to evolve them, never skip Bonds, prioritize exploders and healers, and grind upgrades on one main partner.
Build tips
- Max moves to evolve them. Moves evolve when maxed out — a deep, focused build beats a wide shallow one. Take 2–3 moves and push them to max before diversifying.
- Never skip a Bond offer on moves you already run. Bonded moves fire at the same time and take a single slot — it is a free move slot, the rarest resource in the game.
- One held item only. Treat your item slot as part of the build, not a bonus. Swap when a clearly better item drops instead of hoarding the first one you find.
- Invest in one partner. Each Pokémon's upgrades only count when you play it. Grinding upgrades on a single main compounds far faster than spreading across many.
Survival tips
- Keep moving. Your Pokémon handles the attacking — your only job is positioning. Circular kiting around wave edges is safer than cutting through the middle.
- Prioritize exploders and healers. Enemy personalities change target priority: kill healers before they undo your damage, and never let exploders corner you.
- Use the map. Weather events, altars, springs and locked chests spawn on the field — route toward them between waves instead of standing still.
- Rifts are worth it. The 18 type-themed rift arenas each hide a legendary — bring a type matchup that fits the arena.
Collection tips
- Shiny rate is 1/4096 (wild) in the wild — long runs are shiny-hunting runs by design.
- Do dailies and weeklies. Missions pay out tickets for the region gacha, and tickets only come from playing.
- Chase achievements early. With 127 achievements, many unlock naturally — but check the list so you don't miss condition-specific ones.
- Make a free account if you play on more than one device — guest saves live only in your browser.
Common mistakes
- Taking every new move offered instead of maxing your core set
- Ignoring Bonds because the pair looks weaker — the shared slot is the real value
- Standing near exploders while looting chests
- Starting over with a new partner before your main's upgrades mature
